Be/Coded: Chaosflöte + Live Coding at Timucua
Null-state’s coming back to Timucua this April! Melody kicks off the concert by performing two pieces for the sensor-augmented Chaosflöte:
-- Prelude for an Avenoir (self-composed, complete with audio and visuals)
-- Ruins of Time by Benjamin D. Whiting.
 
Following this is an interactive electronics jam session with Melody improvising on the Chaosflöte and Benjamin reprogramming the Chaosflöte in real time for everyone to see.
 
This will be an exciting evening, not to be missed!
Intercontinental Live-Coding Concert and "Behind-the-Scenes" Workshop
Join us for an exciting concert of live-coding, with Melody Chua coding from Zürich and Benjamin D. Whiting coding at the University of Central Florida.

2017 Null-state Commission Competition Winners
Null-state is very excited to announce the winners of the 2017 Chaosflöte Commission Competition! We received submissions from all around the world, and the blind selection process took months to complete. Please join us in congratulating the following composers:

Honorable mentions: Andrew Davis, Timothy Page
 
The first place winner will receive a $1000 prize to compose a new work for the Chaosflöte, which will be premiered in May, 2018 in Zürich, Switzerland.

Null-state works for Chaosflöte selected for USF New-Music Festival
We at Null-state are thrilled to have our works for the Chaosflöte selected to be performed at the USF New-Music Festival and Symposium! Benjamin’s Entropic Atelier No. 3 and Melody’s Prelude to an Avenoir were selected from 380 submissions across 21 countries. Null-state is also giving a presentation on how the Chaosflöte works, as well as insight on the future of sensor-augmented performance. The 2018 USF New-Music Festival will take place April 6-7, 2018 at the University of South Florida’s School of Music in Tampa, FL. We are excited to present the Chaosflöte to an international audience, as well as to hear new works by the other talented composers selected for this festival.
